What is the Customer Journey?
The customer journey represents a person’s path in their relationship with a brand or service. It includes touchpoints and needs; it should be contrasted with evidence of actual behavior.
This process can last just a few minutes for low-priced products we buy impulsively (e.g., supermarket food), as well as months or more than a year (e.g., when buying groceries). A commercial or car rental program costs thousands of dollars).
It is the same purchase we have talked about on other occasions on the InboundCycle website and blog.
You can find more information about the buying process and its stages in this content or in our free sales cycle vs. buying cycle. In the past it was understood that the buying cycle or process completely coincides with the sales cycle, but today consumers research and inform themselves before starting any commercial process and making a purchase decision.
In fact, it is said that 70% of the customer journey is completed before the consumer contacts any salesperson.
