What is B2C?
B2C stands for business to consumer and describes business relationships between companies and end consumers. Communication and purchasing depend on the category, the context, and the need.
This model applies to companies that provide consumer goods and services. The market is broader and customers are segmented by interest, age, location, or purchasing power.
In B2C, a company highlights the personal benefits that using its product or service will bring to the customer. It emphasizes the emotional and social value of what it offers.
Not everything a customer buys is necessary to survive. Sometimes their purchase decision is based on how the product or service meets the need, and other times on how they feel about the product or service. Those added value points are the strength of the B2C model.
Closing the sale is quick without paying much attention to the provider experience, and sales volume is usually low (except in industries such as real estate, automobiles, and luxury goods). The company must attract many customers to achieve good sales results. Therefore, a B2C company has many activities, since there are many sales of different amounts.
